Sources first
Each guide starts from primary sources: official park, heritage and tourism authorities, transport operators, and the official ticketing or permit portals for a site. Fees, opening hours, caps and rules are taken from those sources, not from other travel blogs. Every guide lists the sources it relies on in a numbered list at the end, and facts that are likely to change carry a "checked" month.
How we use AI tools
The Meridian Desk uses AI tools to help research and draft guides. Before a guide is published it must pass our editorial checks: its facts must come from first-party sources that are cited on the page, and the text must be original to Meridian. Guides that fail these checks stay unpublished. AI tools are never used to invent quotes, people or first-hand experiences.
Images
Photos are credited under each image. Where we use photos from Unsplash, Wikimedia Commons or official image libraries, the credit and licence follow the source's terms.
Independence
No business can pay to be included in, or to change, a guide. Affiliate and advertising modules are labelled and kept separate from editorial text.
Corrections and updates
Rules and prices change. If you spot something out of date or wrong, email info@meridianexplorer.com with the page link and, ideally, the official source. We check the report against the source and, if we got it wrong, correct the guide and update its date.
